More about this tour
Meet your licensed local guide at the Roman Forum, one of the best-preserved Roman squares in this part of the world, and start your journey through Zadar's layered history. From there, you'll visit the iconic St. Donatus' Church, built on the foundations of a Roman temple, and the magnificent St. Anastasia's Cathedral before strolling down Kalelarga, the vibrant main street of the Old Town. A stop at the Green Market gives you a taste of everyday local life, followed by the People's Square with its striking historical buildings, and St. Simeon's Church, home to the silver reliquary of the city's patron saint.
The tour ends at two of Zadar's most unforgettable spots. The Greeting to the Sun is a stunning solar-powered installation that lights up as dusk falls, and right next to it, the world-unique Sea Organ transforms the energy of the Adriatic waves into hauntingly beautiful music. Before you leave, you'll also sample two of Zadar's most celebrated local products, maraschino liqueur and local cheese, making this the most complete introduction to the city you can get in 2 hours.
