Predjama Castle
Predjama Castle is one of Europe's most impressive and magnificent castles. It teaches a clear lesson: if you want to build an impregnable fortress, put it in the gaping mouth of a cavern halfway up a 123 m cliff. Its four storeys were built piecemeal from 1202 onwards, but most of what you see today is from the 16th century. It looks simply unconquerable.

After the castle, you get to Postojna cave, the world's most captivating Karst cave. Ljubljana, Slovenia’s capital, is considered to be a yet undiscovered gem of Europe. It is often compared to Prague due to its beautiful architecture, which is a legacy of various historical periods. The buildings are beautifully decorated with different colours and ornaments. There are fountains and statues galore, as well as numerous shops, cafes and restaurants for you to freely explore throughout the safe pedestrian zone around the Ljubljanica River, which runs right through the middle of the city.
