More about this tour
Departing from Dubrovnik in the morning, we will head south towards the Montenegro border. We will make a short stop at a viewpoint overlooking the scenic old town of Dubrovnik and continue our tour.
During our drive to Kotor, you will enjoy the sites of Boka Kotorska Bay. The old Mediterranean port of Kotor is surrounded by fortifications, built during the Venetian period. It is located on the Bay of Kotor (Boka Kotorska), one of the most remote parts of the Adriatic Sea. Together with the nearly overhanging limestone cliffs of Orjen and Lovćen, Kotor and its surrounding area form an impressive landscape. The fortified city of Kotor was also included in UNESCO's World Heritage Site list as part of Venetian Works of Defence between the 15th and 17th centuries. Upon arrival at Kotor, you will have an orientation tour with our guide after which you will enjoy free time to explore on your own and try some of the best Montenegro’s specialties.
In Perast you will have free time to explore the old sailor center. You will be able to admire the well-preserved architecture of around 16 different churches, including the Church of St. Nicholas with a 55-meter high bell tower, the main attraction of Perast. Besides the Church of St. Nicholas, Perast is well known for its church islands, St. George Island, and Our Lady of the Rocks. After experiencing what Perast has to offer, we will head back to Dubrovnik.
