Ban Jelacic Monument
Join us in front of the horseman statue at Ban Jelačić (main) Square. The tour operates from Monday to Saturday at 6.30 pm. Booking needed in advance. The guide will be waiting for you with an orange umbrella.
The oldest bar in the city
In a magnificent 200-year-old brick vaulted cellar, enter the first Croatian wine shop which gave birth to a renewed Croatian wine scene. This wine temple is definitely a must-see for all wine lovers!
Zagreb's new Wine Culture Boutique
Completely different from the first bar, here you will enjoy the atmosphere of a new, modern wine boutique in the heart of the city. Owned by a young, enthusiastic sommelier, this place has become the most popular spot in the city when it comes to wine.
More about this tour
Meet your guide at 6:30 pm in front of the horseman statue on the central Ban Jelacic Square (Main Square) to start your wine tasting experience. The first stop is the oldest wine cellar in Zagreb, just minutes from the starting point. In cellar over two hundred years old, you will be introduced to wine culture and the variety of Croatia wines. After tasting two wines you will continue the tour into the second wine bar, also centrally located.
A professional sommelier is going to provide guests with a more in-depth explanation of the different wine regions in Croatia. Each guest will taste four different wines, each one from a different region. Throughout the 2.5-hour wine experience, guests will learn about the regional characteristics of wines produced while drinking carefully selected wines from each region.
