More about this tour
The tour starts every day at 10 am at Ban Jelacic Square, wherefrom you start your journey through the past and present of Zagreb.
The first stop is the historic entrance to the Old Town - the 13th century Stone Gate. That it really is the Old Town proves one of the world's oldest pharmacies - At Black Eagles, working continuously for almost 700 years.
The next stop is the St. Mark's Square with the iconic St. Mark's Church. Just a stroll down the street the St. Catherine's Church with its pink ceiling.
It's time for a ride with one of the world's shortest funiculars - the famous Zagreb Funicular. Over 100 years old, the funicular slowly takes us to the downtown while offering some spectacular views. Just around the corner, we enter the tunnels built by the fascists during the Second World War. As we walk the tunnels you can hear echoes of past times and even see the original signs on the walls. Leaving the tunnels we go even further in the past - to the Bloody Bridge, a place of many conflicts over centuries of turbulent Zagreb past.
Dolac - the largest green market in the city is our next stop. Colors, aromas, people form a lively and lovely sight. Close to the market is the grand Zagreb Cathedral, the largest church in Croatia.
We finish our journey in the same place it has started - on the main Zagreb square.
